Built in 2017, this beautiful home is the builders own. Originally constructed as a “spec house“, Clint and Lauren decided that the house was too special to sell and quickly made some amendments to the plans to suit their family.

The brief was to capture the essence of farmhouse living while utilizing all the modern-day comforts a young family could ever need.

The split level home is 600m2 in total with 4 generous bedrooms and three lounge areas as well as an enclosed verandah. The house spills out onto one of the Estate dams and the main en suite offers the perfect vantage point for bird watching.

The house was a complicated build due to the split level. To take advantage of the magnificent dam vista and access, the house‘s entertainment areas are located on the lower level with the bedrooms on the upper level. Access had to be built up from dam level to road level and this required a considerable amount of engineering, waterproofing and backfilling. The result was extremely successful. Guests are taken aback when they walk down the staircase and look through the large picture window straight onto the dam. The house was built to take advantage of the north light and sun with generous windows throughout. Another feature of the home is the gas heating system throughout the bedrooms and the intelligent fireplace in the family lounge.

Clint used many cost effective measures in the build to ensure it ran on budget and clients are always welcome to walk through the home to get an idea not only of the quality of work that HGN Projects prides themselves on but also of the finishes that one can use to ensure the build remains on budget.
